ALgebra on NUmerical SETs: a system for teaching and learning algebra

A major problem in algebra education concerns the relationship of students with algebraic language, namely with the construction, interpretation and transformation of algebraic expressions and propositions containing numbers and letters. In this article, we describe the algebraic line component and the algebraic manipulator component of ALNUSET (ALgebra on NUmerical SETs), a system designed and implemented to improve the relationship between students and algebraic language.
