Services, facilities, housing and public places for establishing contacts and social relationships are the expression of the local identity as well as the result of the globalization process. These new dynamic identity needs - to be implemented in urban planning and design processes - have been interpreted according to how needs, fears, and perceptions of the new multicultural and globalized humankind.
