abstract:
In this work a simple tunable chirping technique of uniform Bragg gratings has been proposed. This technique consists of the application of a uniform Bragg grating to a lateral side of a beam at a particular angle with respect to the beam neutral axis. We demonstrate that it is possible to obtain a tuned linear or quadratic chirp without center wavelength shift by means of two bending geometries, a beam with simply supported ends, and a cantilever beam.
