Quasi-stationary states and a classification of the range of pair interactions

Systems of long-range interacting particles present typically "quasi-stationary" states (QSS). Investigating their lifetime for a generic pair interaction V(r ->infinity) similar to 1/r(gamma) we give a classification of the range of the interactions according to the dynamical properties of the system.
