A two-level Fuzzy Logic Machine based control algorithm for resilient microgrids in ICT applications

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2019
abstract:
Starting from the development of a SOFC/SNC hybrid prototype system for telecommunications apparatus supply, a node of a resilient network node has been simulated. The simulated Fuzzy Logic based controller is adequate to exploit data from weather reports, electricity market, load request and internal storage The implemented two-layer FLMs scheme allowed to: - have minimum SoC similar to the UPS only function while exploit the electricity market (to enhance battery utilization) - react to fast energy price variations - distribute the power demand/excess (w.r. to the served load and internal generation) between grid and battery Grid fault ("Emergency mode") must be addressed with safety thresholds to trigger for system level solutions: - SOFC generation modulation - cooling system temporary switch off
