Telecommunication Use, Socio-Economic Environment and Spatial Hierarchies

During last decade the mutual interaction between the telecommunication technologies and the socio-economic environment has been widely analyzed. Among the objectives we recall the analysis of telecommunication diffusion in terms of accesses to and usage of the networks, and the mutual effects with some of the most important component of the socio-economic environment. The purpose of the present is to analyze the usage of telecommunication technologies in the main Italian cities and to point out the different behaviours both in terms of diffusion and cability in adopting new and advanced technologies.
