abstract:
Although up to a few years ago preceramic polymers technology appeared too expensive for any productions outside military, racing and aerospace field, nowadays abundant literature data allows to choose comparatively cheap non patented preceramic polymers, and custom their use for specific application. The EEE-CFCC project (www.eee-cfcc.it), funded into Emilia-Romagna ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) programme2014-2020, focuses its research and development activities on fiber-reinforced inorganic composite materials for building and transportation applications, and particularly to those that can be produced at low cost from prepregs.
