Impiego di nematocidi granulari e della solarizzazione contro Ditylenchus dipsaci

Chemical control experiments against the stem and bulb nematode, Ditylenchus dipsaci, on onion were carried out in the sands of Zapponeta (Fg). Three nematicides, aldicarb, fenamiphos and cadusafos , at the rates of 100, 300, and 30 - 50 Kg/ha, respectiveluy alone or in combination with soil solarization were tested. The three nematicides, alone or in combination with soil solarization, significantly reduced the number of plants showing symptoms of nematode damage, nematode population density in the soil and increased marketable onion bulbs.
