Membranes in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering

In this paper after a brief description of such important iusses in the field of regenerative medicine, we report on the development of membrane systems to be used for cell culture (e.g., hepatocytes, lymphocytes, neuronal cells) in biohybrid systems such as therapeutic device or as in vitro model systems for studying the effects of various drugs and chemicals on cell metabolism.
