abstract:
Temperature variability strongly affects vine growth and phenology, as well as phytopathogen development and attack severity inside the vineyard. The knowledge of data representativeness and the quantification of errors due to the use of different dataset are decisive for the application of models at operational level. This aspect becomes more and more important with the increase of orographic and managerial complexity, and it is decisive for the hilly region of Tuscany. In this work, the results of a study, carried out to evaluate the errors introduced in the air temperature estimation by the use of data collected at different spatial scale in the Chianti area, are shown. This contribution is part of a wider research, aiming: i)to define proper configuration and management of a micro-agrometeorological monitoring network and ii) to set effective methodologies for the automation of data analysis procedures.
