Nanometric crystalline BaTiO3 powders prepared by low-temperature aqueous synthesis (LTAS) were precipitated at 80°C from an alkaline (NaOH) aqueous solution by addition of Ba(OH)2 and TiCl4 at atmospheric pressure and Ba, Na and Cl excesses were removed by washing with water or 2-propanol. The amount of impurities was detected by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectrometry.
