Campo acustico di sorgenti in moto supersonico: il problema dei tempi di emissione

This paper proposes a characteristic point of view in the study of the acoustic pressure waveform produced by supersonically moving bodies. The analysis highlights the importance of the sound source emission pattern, that is the distribution of delays between the instants where perturbations are generated at different source points and the time of reception by the observer. A description of the the effects of source-observer relative motion is presented, in terms of acoustic surface representation, for a rotating blade with supersonic tip speed.
