abstract:
We report on the first demonstration of passive mode-locked operation of a diode-pumped Yb:KYF(4) crystal. Transform-limited pulses with duration of 170 fs, average power of 60 mW, and repetition rate of 55 MHz are obtained. (C)2008 Optical Society of America
