abstract:
The Polarization Dependent Gain (PDG) of stimulated Brillouin and Raman scattering in randomly birefringent fibers is numerically studied. The evolution of the alignment between the pump, the signal and the PDG vectors is investigated. The direction of the PDG vector is an attractor for the signal at the fiber output.
