The International Bank of Edible Saprophytic Mushrooms (IBESM) has been created in agreement between F.A.O. and C.N.R. within the Global Network on Mushrooms promoted by the F.A.O. in order to facilitate exchange of information among network members, institutions and any interested users. Because of its geographic location, the Bank is greatly interested in all problems regarding the Mediterranean Areas, and promotes programmes and activities about the whole mushroom science.
