Environmental risk assessment of propranolol in the groundwater bodies of Europe

Capsule: The study provides: i) the first ecotoxicological and behavioural data concerning a stygobiotic crustacean species exposed to a pharmaceutical compound; ii) a realistic estimate of the Predicted No Effect Concentration (PNEC) of propranolol to be used in groundwater environmental risk assessment procedure.
