Discrimination Between Human Functional Ability/Disability by means of Different Classification Methodologies

A new method for discovering well defined incipient pathologies in human beings, by means of the analysis of the sitto- stand locomotion task, is proposed. It is based on the frequency analysis of acceleration measurements supplied by a homemade transducer and on the exploitation of some of the most effective classification strategies at this time. Results show the capability of distinguishing between pathological and non pathological subjects.
