Abstract:
In the framework of the future generation of solar system exploration missions, Saturn's moon Enceladus has been placed among the targets to search for life and habitability features because the observations of geyser-like jets by Cassini Mission from the Enceladus's south polar surface, venting water vapor containing organic molecules. This work proposes to model the Saturn-Enceladus system by the Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem and identify numerically Halo-to-Halo homoclinic and hetereoclinic connections around Enceladus with significant out-of-plane components that provide polar coverage, and employ them for the robotic in situ ex-ploration of Enceladus' south polar jet plumes.
