Impact of stochastic physics on climate simulations with EC-Earth: looking at the atmosphere

Inclusion of stochastic physics (SP) schemes in climate models have been shown to significantly shift the model mean state. Here we analyze two set of EC-Earth coupled climate simulations with and without SP. ? ? We study the impact of SP on: the model mean state: radiation budget, meridional heat flux and zonal mean temperature; the representation of Weather Regimes in the North Atlantic.
