Numerical simulations of microscale urban flow using the RAMS model.

Chapter
Publication Date:
2007
abstract:
This article presents the work performed, thus far, on the modeling of the microscale flow, in the framework of a collaboration for the development of a modeling system for urban air pollution, which encompasses the simulation of all relevant scales: synoptic, mesoscale, and the urban microscales. The main purpose of the project at this initial stage was to adapt the regional atmospheric modeling system (RAMS) atmospheric model to simulate the flow around buildings.
