The evaluation of the climate change effects on maize and fennel cultivation by means of an hydrological physically based model: the case study of an irrigated district of southern Italy

Conference Poster
Publication Date:
2012
abstract:
The aim of this work is to evaluate the effect of a climate variation (over the last 50 years) and irrigation strategies on maize in an irrigated district of Southern Italy. Water availability was quantified by means of the Crop Water Stress Index, which accounts for the ratio between actual and potential evapotranspiration. The yield of some maize cultivars was examined at different CWSI values.
