As was initially examined by G. Loud and subsequently revised on a large scale by G. Turner, an architectural formula governs the planning of the main royal palaces and private residences in the Neo-Assyrian period . This paper wants to demonstrate how such a method of study is applicable, in the same way, to the administrative buildings excavated in the peripheral regions of the Empire
