Assyria and the Provinces. Survival of local architectural features and imposition of new patterns in the peripheral regions of the Empire

As was initially examined by G. Loud and subsequently revised on a large scale by G. Turner, an architectural formula governs the planning of the main royal palaces and private residences in the Neo-Assyrian period . This paper wants to demonstrate how such a method of study is applicable, in the same way, to the administrative buildings excavated in the peripheral regions of the Empire
