In thiswork,microindentationtestsunderdifferentconditionswereperformedtodeterminetheinfluenceofindentationloadon
Young's modulusandmicrohardnessofZrO2 reinforced withAl2O3 particles (ATZ)andAl2O3 reinforced withZrO2 particles (ZTA).
Microhardness ofATZandZTAmaterialswasmeasuredusingtraditionalVickersandinstrumentedmicrohardnessmethodsat500,
1000, 1500and2000mNloads.Asfortheinstrumentedmethod,Vickersmicrohardnesswascalculatedfromtheforce-indentationdepth
curves byanalyzingtheunloadingsegments,accordingtotheOliver-Pharrmethod.Inthiswaythepossibledifferencesbetweenthetwo
methods werecalculated.Furthermore,Young'smodulusateachloadwascalculatedusingtheinstrumentalmethod.
