De quelques mariages sur la scène québécoise: la mouvance de l'esprit mythique

By combining the concept of marriage to the configuration of the sociocultural environment in Quebec, a series of clichés comes to mind. It starts from the famous contracts that were signed at landing on the docks of Quebec, between orphan shipped by the Sisters and the trappers or military. By this wedding they would get the land to become pioneers and people. This method was the main way to settle in New France in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Marital status, then, shows in the company of French Canadians until the last century as a powerful fulcrum of control of the clergy in the parishes. This culture supported social, economic stability of Quebec rural society until a few decades after urbanization in the 40s (XX century). The theme is treated by a corpus of literary works of the twentieth.
