Education as a key to sustainable development: a competition among schools for promoting energy efficiency
Contributo in Atti di convegno
Data di Pubblicazione:

Abstract:
Citizen involvement is essential to develop the energy efficiency potential that can help reducing energy demand up to 20%. Young generations are a privileged target group to promote virtuous energy behaviours in the whole community. These issues are addressed by the Living Lab Schools4energy, aimed at increasing energy awareness among students of four schools in the Municipality of Potenza. The activities, carried out in the 2018/2019 school year, are based on a threefold approach: a friendly competition to reduce energy consumption (School Race), an artistic competition to think about energy in a creative way (Art4energy) and gamification as an alternative learning method (Play4energy).
