Cyber-Socratica. New approaches and research-tools in ancient philosophy

The radical change of perspectives due to the strong presence of information technology can promote a new approach to ancient philosophy. The paper presents a project of research aimed at converting into digital form the edition of all the witnesses regarding Socrates/the Socratics, thanks to the electronic reproduction of the texts collected by Giannantoni in his Socratis and Socraticorum Reliquiae. The result of this new digital tool is a structured universe of textual interconnections, immediately at hand for each scholar, who wants to work again and seriously on the Socratic tradition [see now: www.daphnet.org].
