Potential yield of deep water pink shrimp in the Strait of Sicily (GSAgsa 16) was assessed by Y and B per recruit analyses. Ccurrent exploitation was within the limit reference point Ffmax, although some differences in assessing the current status vs. an optimal one resulted if length cohort analysis (LCAlca) on commercial catches or mortality estimates from trawl surveys were used.
