abstract:
The Italian National Research Council's Institute for Educational
Technology and the David Chiossone Institute for the Blind have carried out a
joint study that seeks to define criteria for evaluating the suitability of educational
software in meeting the needs of the visually impaired. This study devotes
due consideration to the particular educational context and to the needs of
individual students, seen in a positive light as potentialities rather than limits.
As a result, we have been able to define a series of characteristics related to
analysis and method.
