abstract:
A music language and some original man-machine interfaces for interactive performances developed at the Computer Music Department of CNUCE are here described: - the RealTime Concurrent PascalMusic (RTCPM), a musical language for algorithmic composition and interactive performance; - the Light Baton, a special conductor baton with a small lamp on the tip, whose movements are detected by a CCD camera and digitized as light-point-position changes for extracting information about the correspondig paths; - the Shine-Hands, based on the same hardware of the Light Baton, which detects the position and the movements of the hands of a performer wearing special reflecting gloves; - the Infrared-Combs, an infrared-sensor device which detects the position and the orientation of a performer's hands inside an active area.
