Chimica alla scuola primaria

In this paper, the teaching experience about chemistry, at a primary school in Palermo (Italy), is reported. The purpose of teachers and researchers, in close cooperation, was the communication of some basilar concepts to pupils about chemistry as part of our life and the green and eco-friendly role of chemists. Lessons and group experiments were carried out by using natural substances. The success of this event demonstrated that a strong interaction between school and research institutions is fundamental for a stimulating learning of a badly understood subject such as Chemistry.
