abstract:
"Corps d'écriture" is the expression we propose to label our reading of Anthony Phelps' poetry. Despite its metaphorical evocations, our reading points to the materiality of poetic action. Our first objective was to gather information on the concreteness of poetic writing, and we have noted the numerous occurrences of a lexicon, sometimes specific and sometimes evocative, of scriptural action and facts. The lexical material has been put in relation and of course in situation, to ultimately lead to a semantic approach. The paragraph "Des nuits d'encre" focuses on the techniques, signs and media of writing; "De l'alphabet au mot" insists on the tools of a writer (alphabet, syllables, words) as they are represented in the corpus; "Écrire pour faire autre chose" (Writing to do something else) highlights the markers that bring out the meaning the poet gives to his writing. It is therefore a journey of signs, ink and paper, the journey of a man and his language, capable of building bridges to give free rein to the word.
