Analisi idrologica della piena improvvisa del 2 agosto 2014 in un piccolo bacino delle Prealpi Venete

The work provides a hydrological analysis of the flash flood occurred on August 2nd, 2014 on the Venetian Prealps. Rainfall data available at high time and space resolution from weather radar and rain gauges, together with data of flood response from post-flood surveys, have enabled a detailed study of hydrological processes associated to this extreme flood. Event rainfall lasts for 100 min, with a point intensity which exceeds 150 mm over one hour. The hydrological analysis, which focuses on seven basins for which post-flood surveys are available, shows unit peak flows around 20 m3 s-1km-2 at scales of 5-10 km2.
