abstract:
The identification of intranuclear protein patterns reveals specific biological processes, such as DNA repair pathway choice or DNA integration. We designed and built an efficient tool that implements mathematical algorithms to detect the pattern of Polycomb Group of Proteins (PcG) in high-resolution fluorescent cell image stacks. Our image analysis enhances that the position of PcG bodies is not random but higly controlled and informative of their function in nuclear dynamics architecture.
