Polymer-embedded fluorescent Au and alloyed-Au/Ag clusters for anti-counterfeiting application

High-fluorescent Au and alloyed-Au/Ag clusters can be prepared by mild thermal annealing of Au-thiolates and Au/Ag thiolate mixtures. The very high Stock-shift value characterizing this new class of fluorophores makes them extremely interesting for application in the anticounterfeiting field.
