La derivazione del DB25 dell'IGM dal DB Topografico di Regione Toscana

The mapping derivation from spatial databases at larger scales is a typical topographic database requirement. Within AR.DI.TO. research project, funded by the Tuscany Region Administration, the cartographic generalization is a main topic of interest. In particular, some activities concerns IGM DB25 derivation from Tuscany Region Topographic DB (TDB). Reference documents are IntesaGIS specs (INTESAGIS, 2006). Starting from contents of Tuscany Topographic DB, the main focus is IGM DB25 achievement content and data, using spatial component generalization process. Generalization acts through algorithms, depending both on features definition and object relationships. The proposed generalization model follows main international initiatives about artificial intelligence and computer science use (Agent, 2001), (CARGEN, 2009). This study is implemented in collaboration with IGM and taking into account CNIPA GdL2 working group activities.
