abstract:
In the work of Tito Vignoli (1824-1914), italian psychologist and anthropologist, Vico's New science has an important place, but, at the same time, it is remote and "out of place" - literally too: it is mostly cited in the footnotes. It could be not be otherwise: Vignoli embraced evolutionary theories and his work was imbued with them.
The paper focus on this particular, fruitful connection between Vignoli and Vico.
