abstract:
This paper describes Addizionario, a multilingual hypermedia
laboratory for native language learning, addressed to children of nursery
and primary schools. The features of the tool, which is child-centred,
flexible, easy-to-use and interactive, make it suitable not only for
normally skilled users, but also for those presenting more or less severe
learning difficulties linked to both physical and cognitive impairment.
The software, patented by the Italian National Research Council (C.N.R.),
is used in numerous schools in Italy and abroad.
