Tunable narrow-bandwidth picosecond pulses by spectral compression of femtosecond pulses in second-order nonlinear crystals
Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2008
abstract:
We exploit second-harmonic generation with large group velocity mismatch to efficiently convert femtosecond pulses into tunable narrowband picosecond pulses. The temporal shape of the picosecond pulses can be tailored by engineering the aperiodically poled crystal. (C) 2008 Optical Society of America
