Costruire una biblioteca digitale. L'accordo di collaborazione tra l'ILIESI e la Biblioteca centrale del CNR

The internal cooperation agreement between the Istituto per il Lessico Intellettuale Europeo e Storia dell'Idee (ILIESI) and the "G. Marconi" Central Library, both parts of Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), signed in 2016, has allowed the complete digitalization of the ILIESI microforms collection. The collection is mostly made of philosophical lexica and works belonging to the European intellectual history of 16th and 17th century. These two centuries saw the birth of modern thought and new science, and witnessed the branching of philosophical and scientific terminology of modern languages from the common Latin roots. The article analyses the choices made by technical staff to recover and digitize the materials, introducing the Central Library's digitization laboratory. Finally, future ways of using and promoting the digitized collection are shown
