Prima segnalazione per il Mediterraneo di Corolla spectabilis DALL,1871 (Thecosomata)

The finding of a pseudoconcha of Corolla, beached on the sicilian coast of Messina Streit, is reported. This finding is the first in the Mediterranean Sea as to genus Corolla. The systematics of this group being still debated, our specimen is classified as C. spectabilis DALL with reservation. His size is far bigger than that of others hitherto known specimens. Any hardly known morphologic features are detailed.
