STOCHASTIC FRACTURE FLOW MODELLING AND INFLUENCE OF THE COMPUTATIONAL PROCEDURES ON THE POLLUTANTS MIGRATION IN A CASE STUDY

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2004
abstract:
The influence on pollutants distribution of two different idealizations of the Bari (Southern Italy) natural fractured formation was performed by using two computational codes GWVISTAS and FRACT. Field investigations provided in situ estimations of aquifer transmissivities and boundary conditions which were utilized for stochastic modelling in both GWVISTAS and FRACT. The models simulation results were based on field measurements of groundwater quality in a contaminated site Gasometro, Bari (Southern Italy).
