BATHYMETRY MAP GENERATION VIA X-BAND RADAR IMAGES

This work deals with the sea state monitoring starting from marine X-band radar images and focus the attention to the sea depth estimation. Here, we perform a simple analysis of such an estimation problem and we present an innovative method for the bathymetry estimate based on the use of a Normalized Scalar Product. The effectiveness and limitations of the proposed procedure are shown by a numerical analysis with synthetic data.
