Biblioteche virtuali per utenti reali

The X NILDE National Conference "Virtual libraries for real users" on Document Delivery and interlibrary collaboration was held in Pavia, May 30-31, 2019, hosted by the University of Pavia. This book contains extended abstracts of the talks presented during the conference, the panel session, and the poster presentations. The aim of the event was to extend the virtual network to other types of library and other important institutions that operate locally, which are not necessarily part of a known information channel. Accessibility to digital resources and inclusion were extensively discussed within the various sessions scheduled for the conference: "Enhanced library networks", "NILDE Session", "Users in the web", and "Face to face with users". Round table discussions highlighted the problems of publisher contracts and open access for scientific literature. In regard to Document Delivery, NILDE (Network for Interlibrary Document Exchange) was highlighted as a service of excellence for knowledge sharing and information transfer, as well as a reference community for Italian libraries mainly involved in the fi elds of health, science, and other academic disciplines, yet open to the extensive resources of the civic libraries.
