Self-organization and nanoscale electronic properties of azatriphenylene-based architectures: A scanning probe microscopy study
Academic Article
Publication Date:

abstract:
Probing the nanometer-scale electronic properties of pi-conjugated supramolecular architectures as spatially confined electrically active nano-objects represents a great challenge. A scanning probe microscopy investigation of the structural organization and electronic properties of a specially designed and synthesized hydrogen-bonding azatriphenylene derivative (see figure) is described both at the single-molecule and ensemble level, supported by quantum-chemical calculations.
