Abstract - So close and yet so far away. The specialist support services for women victims of violence and programs for perpetrators. The prevention and combating of violence against women is based on the daily activity of different subjects that, nonetheless sharing a common goal, often adopt different approaches and methods of intervention. On the one hand, the anti-violence centers and shelters support women in their escape from violence, even removing them, when necessary, from home they share with their violent partner; on the other hand, treatment programs try to make the perpetrators responsible for the violence they commit, promoting a change in their behavior. The mappings conducted by Istat and Cnr in 2018 allowed, for the first time in Italy, to describe the different subjects involved in the anti-violence field, describing their intervention practices. After drawing their features, the contribution will describe some preliminary data of the survey "Antiviolence centers at the time of coronavirus" carried out by CNR in April, highlighting main changes observed in the activity of anti-violence centers during the COVID-19 emergency and describing the practitioners' requests to the policymakers.
