Opilo orocastaneus n.sp.: a new checkered beetle from Sardinia (Coleoptera Cleridae)

abstract:
Opilo orocastaneus n. sp., from the Gennargentu Massif (East-Central Sardinia; Italy), is described and figured. The new taxon is easily distinguishable from Opilo mollis (L.) by the uniform colour of its legs, the small clear circular spot isolated from the apical margin of the elytra and differences of the aedeagus.
