Rilevazione Campionaria delle Statistiche della Pesca nelle Marinerie della Sicilia Meridionale (MINIPESTAT): Data Report

This work presents data collected during the MINIPESTAT project in Southern Sicily, whose reasons, objectives and methods have been described in the previous work (n°4, Vol. I°, 1995) of NTR-ITPP Special Publications. The work is divided into two sections: the first gives the data of the frame survey for 1985 to 1993 (not including 1988 and 1989) and concerns the fishing fleet. The relevant tables are on numbered pages with the initial "F" ( Frame ). The second concerns the weight and composition estimates of the catch landed in the ports of Southern Sicily by motor trawlers working trips of one or at most two days, from April 1985 to March 1987. The relevant tables are on numbered pages with the initial "C" ( Catch ). In view of further processing, this is a "data rich book" according to Pauly (1993), to offer to the scientific community and all possible users interested in the first fruits of our work.
