The European Diving Medicine Databank (EDMD)

EDMD is a Special Portal and Databank that allows to access all the information related both to the medical records of Certified Commercial Divers concerning their health/work fitness and the availability of Medical Examiners (MEDs) in the European countries. An International Diving Medical Expert Board assures the quality standards, fairness and transparent processes of the EDMD according to the revised educational recommendations of the European Diving Technology CommiRee At present the Databank is accessible by internet, giving information about designated MEDs, their practice addresses and specific qualifications. MEDs are allowed to insert their professional experiences and diving medical certificates of examined divers, to be checked by employers or other MEDs.
