abstract:
This essay examines the changes in the urban structure, the institutional and social organization of the Cagliari Castle, an object in the XIII-XV Centuries of constant mobility and of a continuous becoming of migratory currents, cultural flows and institutional dynamics. For over two Centuries the fortress-city was overwhelmed by openings and closures that represented elements of growth and strengthening but also of disintegration and weakening of its political-institutional structure, created to support from within the power of those who held at that time control.
