14 - Polymeric membranes for the purification of hydrogen

This chapter focuses on membrane technology for hydrogen separation/recovery and discusses the possibility of implementing a process-intensification strategy in refineries and other industrial cycles. Polymeric membrane types and their transport properties, as well as potential and actual industrial applications will be presented. Current research trends and recent progress in this field will also be addressed.
